I love Moleskine notebooks. I love that they have different models of their notebooks tailored for different uses. However, because of this I found that I was carrying around a ton of different notebooks to accommodate all of the ways I used them.
I really wanted a single notebook that could handle all of my use cases. To make that a reality I made a bunch of templates that I put under the pages of a blank notebook. I keep the templates in the expandable pocket in the back of the notebook so that I always have them handy.
If I want to make a journal entry, I grab the college ruled template. If I am taking notes, I grab the Cornell notes template. If I'm designing an iPhone application, I grab the iPhone UI design template.
Etc.
